I will not make this post about my favorite Sushi restaurant in Atlanta. I will mention it more times than you may care to read, but this is moreso a highlight of the sushi scene in Atlanta. It's LIT!

This picture was taken at Eight Sushi Lounge in West Midtown Atlanta, Georgia. 930 Howell Mill rd, NW 30318.

"Tina mentioned that her favorite food was sushi when we first met. She blew my mind with her extensive knowledge of the cuisine and how she has been able to introduce me to so many dishes."

Sushi in Atlanta- YES, I WILL HAVE SECONDS!

I know I said I wouldn’t make this blog about my very favorite sushi place in Atlanta, but hey. Here we are and if the shoe fits, wear it! MF Sushi in Atlanta is delicious. Located in the Old Fourth Ward neighborhood in Atlanta, Georgia is an amazing sushi experience. I will not simply refer to this as a restaurant because in our opinion we go here to eat, to celebrate and to make peace when we have been at war. This sushi bar has been there for me when I need to get out of Atlanta traffic until it passes on my way home from work or sometimes just to satisfy my craving for the perfect lychee martini. This place has gotten it right!

I am a bit of a traditionalist when it comes to certain things. If there is a proper way to have a culinary experience I want to abide by those rules. (This doesn’t happen often) This is especially if not only true when it comes to eating a certain way. No, I will not rub wasabi all over my sushi or allow soy sauce to come anywhere close to my Hamachi. Death will happen first, mark my words! So, when I sit at the sushi bar and I am handed a fresh hand role that I am expected eat immediately in order to meet its consumption standards, I am at full attention ready to oblige! Never have I ever been disappointed.

The ambiance at MF is dim, warm and intimate. When you first walk in past the large wooden doors you immediately escape into a world of privacy and perhaps temptation. What will I order? What will I eat? Where will I sit? Sometimes I opt for the bar if I am alone or or rather popped in and wanted a quick drink, there is no need for a reservation. Tina and I try to always make reservations for the most part, if not for the OpenTable points, to also ensure we get the perfect seat. (you can make all kinds of specific request using this app) Regardless of your seat preference, the service always exceeds our expectations. Warm towels and a full staff that effortlessly caters to your needs. Sometimes we can explain the taste that we are looking for and they make recommendations.

These are a few of our go-to’s when we eat here.

§ Fresh Yellowtail

§ Kampachi

§ Hamachi

§ Shima Aji

§ Crunchy roll

§ Spicy Yellowtail roll

§ Miso Soup
